Moderation Policy

What is Moderation?

'Moderation' is the practice of;

• Ensure that everyone can take part in discussion and get their views across.
• Maintaining the flow of the discussion by checking all posts in relation to the terms and conditions of the site.
• Ensuring Safety & Protection of it's users.
• Moderation is the process of eliminating or lessening extremes, it is used to ensure normality throughout the medium on which it is being conducted.

What does a Moderator do?

Moderators are carefully selected, police vetted and fully trained members of Staff. Their main responsibilities are safeguarding the community. The moderators of this site are staff for ClubTropica Ltd. All have had extensive training and experience of moderating a wide variety of online consultations. They are coordinated by the Community Manager.

What form of Moderation will be used on this site?

There are four types of moderation available;

• Pre-moderation, where all speech is checked against the terms and conditions before they are published.
• Post-moderation, where participant speech is checked against the terms and conditions after they are published.
• Sample moderation, where a Moderator will patrol a number of spaces or areas.
• Reactive moderation, in a service of this type moderation will take place only after a request for intervention is made.

ClubTropica Ltd will employ all types of Moderation. This means four types of Moderation systems will be in place to ensure user safety and protection whilst also proiving a pleasureable envrionment. The four Moderation systems will be used through out the website and will record any speech where necessary.
