New User Help - Moving Around

The Club Tropica Island is a big place and because of this we have provided some help for getting around and interacting with objects and furniture.

Navigating to a room

There are two types of places in which you can visit; Public Places and Private Villas. To go to a Public Place simply click an area on the Island (this is the first view you see when you log into the client) and you'll be zapped there! To visit a Private Villa, owned and created by the Club Tropica customers themselves you can use the navigator which is accessible from the control panel.

Avatar (Character) Interaction

Walking

Walking is very easy and is probably the easiest thing you'll do. To walk to a certain area of a room simply place your cursor where you would like to go and click, easy or what?!

Dancing

You can show off your moves on the dance floor by clicking on your Avatar and clicking 'Dance'. Top stop dancing simply click your Avatar then click 'Stop Dance'.

Talking

When talking you have three options; Shout, Say and Whisper. These are very important for talking to people at different ranges from your Avatar. For example if someone is on the far side of the room and you want them to be able to see what you have typed to the screen you will need to have it set to 'Shout'.

If you don't want the whole room to see what you are typing to the screen on and wish for those only around to hear you will need to set it to 'Say'.

Whispering is between two people only. For that person to see what your typing you will need to select 'Whisper' and make sure you have clicked on their so they only receive the speech.

Typing to the screen can be done by entering text into the speech bar and hitting 'Enter' remembering to select a speech option, and don't forget to look out for replies from your friends!

Waving

Waving is a great way to greet friends and to make an entrance to those all important parties. To wave click on your Avatar and then click wave, don't worry your Avatar won't wave forever, only for a short time.

Interacting with objects/furniture

A simple rule to remember is that when interacting with Furniture such as chairs or beds you click the floor tile under it to sit or lie down. To interact with objects such as drinks machines you double click.
