So, it may have been a long time since one of these had been posted, so I'll fill you in. The Islander is a weekly newsletter created by the Community Team Leaders. It contains lots of fun and interesting things as well as polls and competitions! So, enjoy this issue and watch out for the one next week (Note: Normally, The Islander will be published on Wednesday. There will not be one tomorrow as there is this one, Thanks)!

ClubTropica Updated

So, I guess the first thing we should explain is the new design. As you may or may not know, ClubTropica has finally finished its BETA stage and has now moved into its Live stage. But, as you can probably see, it's not just a simple status change! The website has been designed to give it more of a community feel. Gone is the boring static update feed, and a new flashy animated homepage to replace it!

So, what's new? Well, for a start, the homepage is a more inviting page to start on. It has a shorter updates feed (but don't worry, you can still access the old one by clicking Here). The Website news and the Community news have now merged together, so you don't have to visit the community page to read about community events or news. You've probably noticed that the 'Hot Users' box now displays usernames instead of just the picture and depending on what gender the person is, it displays either a blue or pink border and text (and remember, the Hot Users is FREE for two weeks, so get yourself publicized!). You can see the latest status updates (That's the new, technical term for the 'I Am...'). High-score charts are now visible from the homepage as well, you can now see if anyone is catching you up! You may have also noticed the menu at the top (underneath the main menu) with quick links to community related things.

"Azzle's Summer Top Tips"

Did you know, the summer is here? It may not be very obvious that it is here, but it is, so I have taken the liberty to go on the hunt to find the best summer essentials and a few tips and tricks for this coming summer.

As I work as a sales assistant part time in a high street beauty retailer, I can do quick and easy research on prices of sun tan lotions and those sort of things. However, I cannot do this alone! I need YOU to give me your summer tips, to do this, visit the forum by clicking here and get posting.

The first addition of Azzle's Summer Top Tips will be released in just a couple of days, so keep your eyes peeled to hear of the best places to go and best products to buy!

Daily Discussions!

We have decided to start a bit of a community event so that we can become a stronger community. We are hosting several different discussions to get the mood going, arguing (cough) I mean debating, and to get to know each other's views and opinions. Also, if you provide lots of input into the discussion, at the end of the week you could walk away with some bonus points!

As we want to get to know you guys even better, we thought these would be great for you to come along to so we can get friendlier with you guys and we can all be one big happy family. *Group hug*

We have a variety of discussions each night which are hosted in the ClubTropica General Chatroom. All you have to do is look below at the timetable to see which discussion interests you and which one you would most like to participate in. We hope to see you there!
