SPRING CT NEWS 2010
Well folks, all the Christmas profile pages are now a distant memory (well I sincerely hope so) and Chloeee has finally worked out how to update her profile and done an amazing job...
I suppose we should all be looking forward to Spring and Easter (did I hear EGGS, Woo) Personally I can't wait, I have totally had enough of the snow and rain that has not stopped for what feels like eons! Over Christmas and into January it was fun and busy on CT but things seem to have gone all sleepy over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully everyone will make a bit of an effort to liven things up again even if it is only an occasional hi to a friend or a comment on the forum.
Talking of which, Edster has been up to his usual tricks and especially made me laugh with his replies to the " would you " thread (started by Kewts), something to do with a penguin, as usual! worrying really :) When the thread took a gruesome turn Dans came to the rescue on his White Stallion with a fluffy bunny reply, good to know that chivalry is not dead.
Management says he is now back, he was kept really busy at work, probably those pesky January sales. He is not the only person that's busy, Ross the Irn-Bru fan has also been working all hours and I know I have missed seeing him around, but good to see him when he does pop in to say hey.
Chris has been designing away and creating amazing Banners for our home page. A great big thanks to you Chris from all of us :) I wonder if there are any other budding 'designers' out there that would like to work alongside Chris as I am sure an extra pair of hands would be welcomed, mind you, in saying that Chris seems to always deliver and make everything look easy.
Have you all checked out the new photo's of Kacie, AK47's lovely baby girl. Superb couldn't believe how she had grown. AK has been really good and somehow found the time to upload new photos for us to see, when I am quite sure she has her hands full being a full time mummy. Thanks heaps AK :)
Radio ... Well, I thought we were getting the CT Radio back, I was quite looking forward to it and wondered who would be dj'ing but nothing seems to have happened as yet. I wonder if it is because no one was interested in hosting it? what a shame. Oh yes, whilst I think of it. We have had two of our members perform in shows during January and February. Both Chris and Azzle. All went well for both of them, even though Chris went down with a dreadful cold virus and ate so much honey he was probably on a sugar rush for days.
It was great to see Day back at the beginning of January although sadly he had a rotten time with a really bad tooth! ouch! my worsed nightmare. Followed by loads of course work, what next I hear you ask! even though be still managed to help out at our CT Burns Night at the end of January. Thanks Day :) Did you like the CT Happy Birthday Banner? I did. Chris designed it for CT's 2nd Birthday. How many of you have been a member here since it all opened?
I have to say my favourite topic on the forum in the last month or so was the ' GHOSTS ' thread - we were joined by Phil from the USA who seemed to have been having first hand experiences of paranormal activity in his own home. eek! hopefuly he will pop back on to CT soon and update us. I for one can't wait, I love a good ghostie story. I must message him.
Oh well, I think this is enough for now as to be honest I am not sure many people even read the first edition and the only person that has mailed me with a story and got involved in this edition of CT News is AngieAnn from Canada - so YAY for AngieAnn and I crown her our new CT Reporter for Canada - Go Angie!
I am sure you have all noticed how wonderfully enthusiastic she has been over this years winter Olympics, well, here is her fabulous Olympic News Report...... Vancouver Olympics 2010...
What can we say about the Olympics? Well, Canada’s doing quite well for always having bad luck for holding the Olympics on their soil. They’ve won our first gold that made history on February 14 won by Alexandre Bilodeau. We would also like to send our Congratulations out to all of the athletes participating in the Olympics…
Don’t give up on your country just because they don’t get the gold. It’s about the fact that they tried… you should be proud of each and every one of them they don't have to be from your country to be proud of them. You can be proud of anyone they are the best in the world, and they are there to try to make it on to the podium..
Cheer all the Olympians on guys. I know I am!! Remember guys, it’s not about what you win, it’s about how hard you try, and if you do your best. It's not about 1st place, or 30th place, its about the fact that the Olympians are doing the best they can.. “I believe in the power that comes from a world brought together as one I believe together we’ll find I believe in the power of you and I”
Thanks AngieAnn and thats it for now. Chat soon :)
