How to hold a good conversation
How to hold a good conversation by abcd
There are several tricks to holding a good conversation. once you know them you will never look back!
1. You have to have a sense of humour!
You have to try to tell jokes and play on words etc. this might be quite hard to do at first and the jokes may be poor but they will get better! Also if you look up jokes on the internet that will broaden your horizons and give you a good laugh at the same time.
Dont joke the whole time though as people wont take you seriously.
2. Don speek lik dis.
If you speek constantatly mispellin fings den it maks de other guy find it lik arder to reed.
So try to spell things properly, you can use short hand just dont use it for every other word! its quite hard to desipher!
3. ASK QUESTIONS!
this is the most important point, you have to ask questions about the other person! Ideas include:
Country
Hobbies
School/Uni subjects
Work
Hows life
4. HI!
Always say Hello to people you know, this makes you easily approachable and great to be around.
5. Advance your general knowledge in a certain area.
If lets say my friend loves football and i have know idea what is (for some reason) then learn about it and maybe play it! you can ask your friend for help which is always a great way for a convo becasue that takes little work from you and they will enjoy talking.
6. Know when to leave off!
If a person seems not in the mood for a chat or they seem grumpy if you cant cheer them up then leave them. This may seem out but its not worth your while persuading someone who is in a mood and doesnt want to listen to you.
7. Relation
Try to relate your life to someone elses life thus (i love using that word) finding things in common to talk about! this is great convorsation.
8. Joke if overwhelmed!
If you seem a little overwhelmed by a conversation that your 'joining into' then just add in a few jokes and just watch the conversation. Afterwards the others will hopefully remember your jokes and think you were an important part of the conversation!
9. DONT INSULT PEOPLE
CT is a place for fun so you should never insult people. you dont want to be insulted and neither does anyone else. So dont do it! It is not a good conversation starter to tell someone how ugly you think they are...
10. Help is at hand
If you need more help with conversations then find a friend who you trust and inform them about what you need help with and if they are a realy good friend they will help!
Happy conversationing! (I have just made up that word I think)
